TabTrade Overview - The Good and the Catch

TabTrade — What It Is

Tab Trade went live in Q1 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

That last detail is relevant. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But better than a random name you cannot trace.

The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that launched in March 2026, the breadth is not narrow.

The Software

They offer: MT5, cTrader, and web trading. Both platforms from the same login. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both matters. Use whichever you prefer.

MT5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, massive community. If you have used a MetaQuotes platform before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders prefer it after comparing.

FIX API is available for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is said to be coming. That should be a good addition once it is live.

Accounts and Pricing

Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. $0 to start. Works for beginners.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your real cost can be under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker requires zero deposit.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, custom pricing. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.

How Fast Are the Fills

The execution is the area where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.

Does this affect you? If you scalp, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, it matters less. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Not many platforms at this price point run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

Here is the part that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No investor compensation scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight is a dealbreaker, stop reading. There are FCA-regulated options out there.

But. The founder spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. But inform how you think about it.

The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.

The Bonus

Tab Trade has a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard deposit match. You deposit, TabTrade credit extra capital. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you commit.
