Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know

TabTrade — The Short Version

Tab Trade launched in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by Saint Lucia's FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

That last detail is relevant. It means the founder has actually done this before. That is not a guarantee. It is more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres institutional desks use. The typical new launch starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

Market coverage: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something that launched in March 2026, the breadth is not narrow.

Platforms

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Both platforms from one account. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Access to both is useful. Pick what suits your style.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, EAs, massive community. If you have used MetaTrader previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader by Spotware is the cleaner option. Better DOM. More responsive charts. Built-in algo trading. Many people find it more natural after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is there for automated strategies but needs the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView charting is said to be on the roadmap. That will round things out when it lands.

Accounts and Pricing

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. No commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge account. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. Total cost: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that have spreads this tight require a minimum deposit. TabTrade does not.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, faster fills, tailored rates. Not relevant to most retail traders. Skip it unless you run serious volume.

Infrastructure

The execution is where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are proper execution targets. Most retail brokers run 100ms to 300ms.

Does this affect you? If you scalp, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, you will not notice. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Pair those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the total package is strong. Not many platforms in this bracket offer execution like this.

Safety

Now, the detail you need to be straight about. TabTrade is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, look elsewhere. Lots of FCA-regulated options out there.

That said. The person running it spent years at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Dodgy operations do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. That does not replace tier-1 regulation. It does factor into your decision.

The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense depends on you.

Deposit Bonus

TabTrade has a deposit bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Typical sign-up bonus. You deposit, the broker top up your balance. Standard terms apply: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Check the terms before funding.
